PLUMBING FLAT RATE PRICING SOFTWARE GUIDE

Plumbing Flat Rate Pricing Pricebooks Compared

We reviewed Housecall Pro, FieldPulse, ServiceTitan, FieldEdge, and Jobber to compare how each platform handles plumbing flat-rate pricing. The guide focuses on the workflows that affect day-to-day pricing accuracy: building a plumbing pricebook, combining labor and materials, maintaining costs, presenting repair options, controlling technician access, applying memberships and discounts, and keeping supplier-linked items current.

The right platform depends on how your plumbing company prices work. A service business that wants a maintained repair library has different needs from a shop building its own book around labor, overhead, pipe and fixture costs, drain work, water heaters, and commercial account rules.

Plumbing flat-rate pricing software helps contractors create and present a fixed customer price for a defined service rather than billing only by visible time and materials. Depending on the platform, that price may be calculated from labor, materials, overhead, markup, surcharges, customer rules, or a maintained repair database.

There is no universal winner. Housecall Pro is the strongest fit for approachable native calculations and plumbing starter content; FieldPulse for custom structure and margin control; ServiceTitan for dynamic pricing and large catalogs; FieldEdge for a maintained repair database; and Jobber for a simple reusable service list.

Housecall Pro is better when the priority is a faster native setup, trade-specific default content, calculated services, and booking-linked Pricing Forms. FieldPulse is better when the priority is building or importing a deeply customized book with labor, overhead, markup categories, add-ons, price tiers, commissions, and good-better-best options.

Some products do and some do not. FieldEdge provides managed trade-repair content. Housecall Pro includes plumbing-specific default content and offers Profit Rhino as an optional managed book. ServiceTitan offers Pricebook Pro content. FieldPulse is primarily a custom builder, while Jobber is a user-maintained products-and-services list.

All five products support some form of field use, but mobile scope differs. A technician may be able to select and present prepared services without having permission to edit labor rates, markups, formulas, or the master catalog. Test field use and administration separately.

A practical book usually includes diagnostic and dispatch fees, drain and sewer services, toilets, faucets, disposals, valves, water heaters, pumps, water treatment, pipe repair, repiping, commercial work, permits, disposal, after-hours charges, memberships, and common repair-versus-replacement options. The final structure should reflect how technicians search for work in the field.
